General GDPR information clause for customers of the
Central Institute for Labour Protection - National Research Institute (CIOP-PIB)

 

Pursuant to the requirements of Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation GDPR), which entered into force on May 25, 2018, the Central Institute for Labor Protection-National Research Institute hereby informs you about the principles of processing your personal data and your rights related there to:
1. The Central Institute for Labour Protection - National Research Institute (CIOP-PIB), located at: Czerniakowska 16, 00-701 Warsaw, Poland,e-mail: kancelaria@ciop.pl, is the controller of your personal data.
2. You may contact the Data Protection Officer at e-mail: iod@ciop.pl or in writing at the address given
in point 1.
3. Your personal data will be processed in order to:
◦ carry out the tasks by CIOP-PIB resulting from the applicable legislation (based on Article 6(1)(c) of GDPR), in particular the Law on Higher Education and Science and implementing regulations to the Act, the statute of CIOP-PIB and other internal acts of CIOP-PIB. The Institutes activities focus on conducting scientific research and development work leading to new technical and organizational solutions in the field of labor protection with regard to occupational safety, occupational health and ergonomics, as well as performing other tasks particularly important for achieving the objectives of the states social and economic policy in this field.
◦ perform a contract to which you are a party (based on Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR), or to take necessary actions to conclude a contract with you,
◦ carry out activities resulting from CIOP-PIB legitimate interests (based on Article 6(f) of the GDPR), by disseminating the results of CIOP-PIB scientific and research work, information and promotional activities, dissemination of knowledge through participation in events organized by CIOP-PIB, including correspondence with you,
◦ sending newsletters, bulletins, etc., in which CIOP-PIB informs you about events, trainings, seminars, etc. taking place at the Institute, based on your consent (pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR),
4. Provision of data is a prerequisite for the purpose indicated in point 3.
5. Failure to provide data will result in the inability to fulfill the purpose indicated in point 3.
6. Except as provided by law, data will not be shared with third parties.
7. Data will not be transferred to a third country and Article 13 (1) (f) does not apply.
8. The data will be kept for the period required to perform the task for which the personal
data was collected, but no longer than:
◦ it results from the provisions of law, or
◦ the deadlines resulting from the contract concluded with you (if any), or
◦ until you raise an objection (when the basis of processing was justified by CIOP-PIB
legitimate interest), or
◦ until you withdraw your consent (if the processing was based on consent), or
◦ for the period of time specified in the provisions of the Act of July 14, 1983 on national
archival resources and archives (Journal of Laws 2020, item 164).
9. You have the right to request at any time to obtain access to your data, as well as the right to rectify, erase - in a situation where the processing of data is not carried out in order to comply with the obligation arising from the law, limit processing, lodge a complaint, the right to transfer data and the right to withdraw consent - in a situation where the processing is based on consent.
10. You have the right to lodge a complaint to the supervisory authority: President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
11. Your data will not be processed by automated means and will not be subject to profiling.
